Interesting article. Just goes to show that some of the GSP owners that flap their mouths the loudest about how big and great they are only know how to run game servers, but not a business. There are also a lot of misconceptions about sizes of some GSP's. I've seen GSP's fold that were in people's "top 3" biggest GSP's lists only to find out they were only running a couple hundred game servers total.

I really haven't heard of killerpings.com. I always feel bad when I hear these types of stories. When you sell a server, they make a commitment to provide exceptional service. You should live up to it. At the very least, they should have refunded money to customers who paid for months ahead. Some server provider's don't take online business seriously enough. If you don't understand business, you shouldn't open a company that caters to online users. Since it is really easy to purchase a server box, more and more companies keep popping up. There really isn't any room for companies that don't have any experience in business and company management.

I'm assuming there will be some law suits against the owners.

It gives a whole new meaning to cut and run. He must have been desperate to get away if he went to Gigenet to try to remove all of his equipment before the first.

basically Killerpings.com shut down overnite cuz the owner had a huge debt to pay and he tried to run away with the money he had by shutting down the servers manually at DC.
