Unsure, but could this be considered a blow to CSS gaming in general. I moved to CSS not with hopes of being in CGS, but because I like CSS better than 1.6. To be honest I HATED CGS and it angered me when CGS rules took over ESEA :(. Oh well, I think it did a good job of sparking major interest in CSS and pushing it forward.

What do you mean what will happen with us?

It's not like they piggy backed us to keep us alive.

where do the big gamers play for big money now? didn't CPL die as well? Is gaming not popular enough for large money prizes? it should be. :D now theres only those small events that host up to only 10k for the whole team :/ that's 2k for you if you win...

It is a shame as we were blindsided by this announcement. We (being Complexity) were not actually informed of the announcement until we discovered it by reading the website.

First off i dont think anything will happen to nextgen worse case scenario they will have to find other means of marketing that isn't source. As for the cgs dying. This Would mean all the top source teams in there will be heading back to 1.6, or well atleast 2 of them (which is the ones i am friends with) so thats why i know they will be going back to 1.6. I'm not sure css will stay as big as it is right now, i think 1.6 will be getting a lot of old familiar faces back. And hopefully source wont die out and go back to the dark ages.

People r saying Brad from Eiximus bought the CGS could be a joke idk, but yea some of them CGS players don't even know it
, and we learned that most of them r going back to cs1.6, and most players will probably move to CS1.6 now, but the north American teams will have to work hard, considering the top teams r european, like SK, NoA,etc etc,

Also the CGS Gm's aren't saying anything about the cgs, what they are going to do, if they will make a new lineup, and it could take months just to re-organize the teams.

Let me throw this out there being one of the few people that play CS 1.6 and CS:S competitively on these forums. The CGS = Dead. No comeback involved. Dallas Venom, Chicago Chimera, Carolina Core.... yada yada yada. pretty much all teams in the CGS have announced that there dead than compLexity. And also, I bet NXGS is happy to an extent to be able to take all that server space (They dont need any help they have a nice client list) Next-Generation Game Servers GCP | Hosted Check it out. This shout out goes to AiMies, compLexity, and InsidereSports. Best of luck to all ;D

Maybe VALVE will finally get moving on a new version of CS... a lot of talk about Counter-Strike 2. Otherwise, I think you may all be right, CSS may die.
