Starting a company?

Alright, I worked with a no-name server company called Riot Servers and I loved what I did, Basically set-up the servers and helped with technical stuff to a server. I recently got the idea of starting my very own server company, I like the idea of that :). When I worked at Riot Servers I was never paid, I just liked working around gaming servers.

Basically, I am wondering if I would need a business license and if so what do I need to do to get one. I live in Kansas City Missouri if that helps you any.

I really appreciate you taking the time to read. :)

Yes, you will need a business license. Keep in mind the GSP business is very hard to break into, there seems to be a very high failure rate. You need to have something that sets you apart, good advertising and enough cash to cover losses for many months. Even then, it seems like a crapshoot.

Good luck!

A simple DBA will work just fine for your needs.

That's a better way of putting it, not really a license per se, but you need to be registered under whatever entity type you choose.

So many GSP companies out there nowadays.

"The Internet: where men are men, women are men, and children are FBI agents."
